"Terry’s presence has been a gift to me after my breast reconstruction. Not only
did she melt away some of my physical scars, but her knowledge and compassion helped
me understand the healing process. She is always a true professional and has been
a valuable part of my recovery."
"You have magical hands," is repeated time and time again by clients after a session
with Massage Therapist Terry Weil, who joined the massage therapy team at the Center
for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in 2007. Terry specializes in postoperative
massage to reduce scarring and improve patients’ overall comfort after surgery.
Terry has more than 20 years of combined experience in massage therapy, chiropractic
care and physical therapy rehabilitation. She graduated from the massage therapy
program at Kirkland Community College in 1995 and also received her certification
as a nurse’s assistant from the State of Michigan in 1991.
Terry creates a customized treatment plan for each patient using a combination of myofascial, Swedish and sports massage techniques. "Each person's needs are different, so their treatment should be individualized for the best possible outcome," she says. She is also certified in lymphatic drainage and Endermologie for post-op care and cellulite reduction.
