Administrative Support/Reception Services Position 

Compensation: Highly competitive compensation and benefits
Employment type: full-time

Administrative support position available in Reception Services for busy 4 surgeon Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti plastic surgery practice. Full-time/5 days per week. No nights/weekends. Convenient on-site parking. Private medical office setting located on the complex of St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital. Fun, energetic work environment where professionalism and teamwork are key attributes of our staff.

Duties include the following:
-supporting high telephone volume in a professional and courteous manner;
-appointment scheduling in person and via telephone;
-completion of insurance verification prior to services being rendered;
-efficient and accurate handling of patient Check-in/Check-out;
-educate new and established patients regarding available services;
-discuss patient financial responsibility and insurance requirements;
-schedule patient medical/surgical services;
-ensure appropriate insurance authorizations are obtained and payment is collected;
-input patient data, post payments, and complete daily balancing;
-scanning of patient records into electronic medical record;
-ensure all necessary paperwork, operational needs, and communications are complete.

Requirements:
• Must possess 2-3 years prior medical office experience, preferably with scheduling and insurance authorization/verification experience;
• Minimum of Associates Degree required;
• Must possess professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication/customer service skills, both in person and via telephone;
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and prioritize multiple tasks;
• Excellent computer/Microsoft Office skills required, including demonstrated proficiency using a practice management system and experience working with EMR templates/scheduling. Must be able to create and maintain Excel worksheets.

Licensed Aesthetician

Licensed Aesthetician position available for busy four surgeon Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti plastic surgery practice. Full-time/part-time position. No nights/weekends and convenient on-site parking. Private medical office setting located on the complex of St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital. Fun, energetic work environment where professionalism and teamwork are key attributes of our staff.

Responsibilities and Tasks Include:

  • Provide medical facials, chemical peels, dermaplane, pre and post-operative skin care.
  • Accurately assess the condition of a patient’s skin and make informed recommendations about treatments and/or skin care product regimens in order to enhance the appearance of the skin.
  • Provide consultations to patients who are interested in all elective services offered by the practice.
  • Ability to utilize a practice management system to schedule, check in/check out patients and collect payment.
  • Contribute to the creation of skin care regimes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the medical skin care products carried by our practice.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a valid MI Aesthetician license
  • A minimum of one year work experience.
  • Knowledgeable cosmetic procedures and products.
  • In-depth knowledge of skin and skin care technology required including HydraFacial, DermaSound, chemical peels.
  • CoolSculpting and Laser training a plus
  • Self-starter
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information
  • Maintains a positive attitude and brings energy and enthusiasm to the job
  • Professional appearance
  • Live close to the Ann Arbor area with reliable transportation.
