Kristen is a registered nurse who has an extensive background in the field of aesthetics. Starting off her journey through aesthetics, she lived in Toronto, Canada studying abroad at one of the top makeup colleges in North America. She became certified in all seven disciplines of makeup developing skills ranging from camouflage and everyday makeup to special effects and prosthetics. When she returned to the states, she furthered her career by graduating from Douglas J Aveda school of esthetics.
As a licensed aesthetician, Kristen has worked for some of the top plastic surgeons in Michigan. While doing so, she traveled to Boston and became a certified laser technician who has received extensive, specialized training in laser hair removal, IPL photofacials, tattoo removal, radiofrequency and laser skin tightening, laser resurfacing, microneedling, and Coolsculpting fat reduction.
Kristen is also a clinical trainer who travels throughout North America to train physicians and aesthetic providers on surgical and non-surgical devices. Brittany Hourigan is a licensed aesthetician in the state of Michigan and has almost 11 years of experience in the esthetics field, including three years as a Lead Educator of Estiology at the Douglas J Aveda Institute.
Brittany specializes in the following treatments: pigmentation, aging skin, rosacea, and acne. She combines various medical-grade skin care products along with progressive aesthetic treatments to address these concerns. She works collaboratively with cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons to help achieve optimal results.

Heather graduated from the Douglas J Aveda Institute almost 11 years ago where she became a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist in the state of Michigan. Heather expanded her career in medical esthetics by graduating from the National Laser Institute in Chicago, Illinois where she became a laser certified technician and laser safety officer. She is trained on various laser and skin care treatments including BBL Forever Young for pigmentation and rosacea, BBL Forever Clear for acne, laser resurfacing, laser hair removal, CoolSculpting®, microneedling, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, and HydraFacial, DermaSound and Rezenerate Facials.
Patty Kutcher earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, and became a registered nurse in 1987. She began working as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) before moving to Michigan one year later. She worked in the NICU at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, but shortly after, transferred to the Operating Room where she began training as a surgical nurse in Cardiothoracic, Urology, and General Surgery.
In 1990, she started working in Ann Arbor for the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for Dr. Robert Oneal. She fell in love with the service and has been practicing with these doctors ever since. She has seen a lot of advances in plastic surgery through the years. She is happy to share her knowledge of surgical procedures and intervention and how it relates to her role as an injector with the Aesthetics aspect of our practice.
Being well-rounded and knowledgeable about all aspects of Plastic Surgery will enhance Patty’s connection with our patients and give them the ultimate experience with whatever route they choose.
Bernice is an NCCPA board-certified Physician Assistant with 6 years of experience in the field of Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Michigan State University and then went on to work for the USDA in a genetics laboratory before finding her calling in the medical field. She spent 5 years with CPRS working under Drs. Izenberg, Hing, Beil, and Sherick in the clinical and surgical field.
Bernice earned her Master of Science in Physician Assisting from the University of Detroit Mercy and has since been working as a provider in outpatient Internal Medicine and as a national trainer for InMode Aesthetic Devices. She trains physicians and medical offices in the use of IPL, laser hair removal, microneedling, radiofrequency skin tightening, vaginal rejuvenation, and radiofrequency-assisted lipoplasty. She has now returned to CPRS to serve as a provider in the MedSpa.
Her background in medicine allows her to optimally treat patients with consideration of their full medical history. She has a passion for patient care and strives to help patients look and feel their best. With a focus on patient education, Bernice helps patients understand the etiology of their concerns and various treatment options. She is meticulous and takes pride in employing safe medical practices that mitigate associated risks and complications.
Bernice is BLS and ACLS certified by the American Heart Association. She is a member of the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Kathy Forbes has been a team member at the Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery since 2013. Her roles at the practice include Medical Office Assistant, Patient Representative, Med Spa Receptionist, and Certified CoolSculpting® Specialist. Kathy demonstrates her strong interpersonal and organizational skills on a daily basis as she effortlessly moves between her various responsibilities.
In 2009, Kathy received her Administrative Assistant Certificate from Washtenaw Community College. She went on to complete her certificate as a Medical Office Assistant in 2008 and received her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with honors in 2011. “I love working in an environment where I can utilize my medical skills in an aesthetic setting. My daily interaction with both our surgical and Med Spa patients is the best part of my job,” she says.
Kathy was initially trained as a Certified CoolSculpting® Specialist in 2016 and graduated from CoolSculpting® University in 2017 and the CoolSculpting University Clinical Masters Program in 2018, where she learned the most up-to-date techniques and technology for non-surgical fat reduction. Her CoolSculpting® patients are always happy to see her since she is knowledgeable and professional and thoughtfully guides them through the process.
Chaeli is a Licensed Aesthetician with a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Toledo. She began her journey into skincare working in dermatology as a medical assistant in Chicago, IL. Her knowledge of skin health and skincare best practices grew along with her as she graduated from an Advanced Esthiology program in Perrysburg, OH.
As a Licensed Aesthetician, Chaeli specializes in facial services including: Dermaplaning, HydraFacial MD, Dermasound Ultrasonic facials, extractions, light to mid-depth chemical peels, Rezenerate and SkinPen microneedling.Back to Top
