Softening the Edges
I think cosmetic surgery is not so much about trying to turn back time and look twenty again – it’s about softening the edges. As women age they start to look crabby and tired, as I did. I didn’t feel crabby or tired and didn’t want to have the world thinking I was. With the help of the CPRS staff, who informed me of all the pros and cons, I made awesome decisions for myself. I had Dr. Izenberg soften my frown lines and tighten the skin around my eyes with a mini facelift and eyelid surgery and Dr. Beil performed laser resurfacing to firm my skin and even out my age spots. I was prepared and super happy with the results. I never felt over corrected. My results are natural and perfectly appropriate for my age.

Time for Me
Twelve years ago, before I had any of my facial procedures, I decided to have a breast augmentation with Dr. Izenberg. Even though I felt cute and was happy with my body, this was still something that I had wanted to do for a very long time. The first part of my adult life was spent supporting others, but when I was in my 40’s I had my own career and my daughters were grown. I could afford to do something positive for myself and I felt like it was finally my time. When I decided to pursue my augmentation I decided on the smallest implants offered. The staff was very thorough in to making sure this was the right choice for me. I knew I wasn’t trying to make everyone notice my chest, I just wanted to feel like a woman. As it turned out, the implants were the perfect size for my body. I wasn’t quite prepared for how I felt after the surgery. It was life changing. I felt feminine for the first time ever. I no longer felt like I looked like a little girl – I had become a woman.
Healing Process
It is amazing how quickly I recovered from all of my cosmetic surgery procedures. I was not hiding in my home for weeks and weeks. Yes, there was bruising and swelling and it wasn’t pretty, but at CPRS I had two teams working to get me back to living my life. First of all, the entire surgical team was superb, so my bruising and swelling was minimal. Then there was the fantastic Aesthetic team. Post-operative massage therapy helped further decrease my swelling and discomfort, and the awesome camouflage make-up concealed any residual bruising, so I looked natural during the rest of the healing process. Being under Gina’s care for many years for medical skin care put my skin in the best shape ever. I believe it contributed to faster healing and the end results. I still had to be patient and I even looked a little funny before I looked better, but it was all worth the wait!
Dr. Izenberg
Dr. Izenberg is an amazing surgeon. He will never, ever over correct you or make you look like you’ve had cosmetic surgery. He is dialed into a women’s perspective, he does what he says he is going to do. The results speak for themselves. Because of his conservative nature, he actually suggested that I wait a full year before considering my mini facelift. Instead he recommended that I begin a comprehensive skin care program first to improve the quality and tone of my skin. I followed his advice and it was the right decision.
Staying Young
My husband and I have vowed to embrace the aging process together. We won’t give in and we won’t give up. We support each other and do whatever it takes to look and feel our best. A good attitude about aging certainly helps. Plus, the way my husband looks at me every day makes me feel young and beautiful.

An eyelid lift or Blepharoplasty is a procedure that removes excess upper or lower eyelid skin and fat to create a more youthful, rested appearance of the eyes.
