Virtual Consultation

You don’t have to come into our Ann Arbor plastic surgery offices for a consultation. Virtual consultations make it easier than ever to meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon about your cosmetic goals.

Our surgeons use Updox video chat software to conduct both private consultations and follow-up appointments after surgery. The software is HIPAA-compliant, so you can rest assured your health information and any images you share with our doctors are confidential and secure.

How Virtual Consultations Work

Virtual consultations provide a great opportunity to ask questions, get to know your plastic surgeon, and learn more about what is possible for you with plastic surgery. The process is easy, convenient, and can be done right in the comfort of your home.

What You Will Need

You’ll need a smartphone, tablet, computer, or any device with a front-facing camera and microphone. Devices with larger screens typically make it easier to see any images your surgeon may share.

How to Enter Your Meeting

After you schedule your appointment, we’ll send you an Updox invite link via text message or email that you can use to enter your virtual meeting. Plan to be in a private and brightly lit room at the time of your appointment.

What To Wear

For body procedures, you may choose to have a “virtual exam.” We recommend wearing a robe to make this exam easier and more comfortable. You may also choose to send photos to your surgeon securely.

Your Next Steps

If you decide to move forward with surgery, we will ask to see you for an in-person appointment before your procedure. You will be on the fast track to scheduling your surgery and discovering a new, more confident you.

To get started, please request a consultation online or call (734) 712-2323.
