Beth A. Miazga, BCTMB, LMT, CLT
Beth Miazga understands firsthand how the benefits of massage therapy can manage pain and positively affect quality of life. “There was a time in my life when I suffered with daily pain. Massage was the only thing that gave me relief without medication. I became a regular client and my personal experience inspired me to pursue a career in this healing profession,” says Beth.
Beth treats patients with complex medical cases including: cancer, lymphedema, MS, diabetes and fibromyalgia. She also works with patients who suffer from anxiety and depression, TMJ dysfunction, as well as lower back and hip issues. Beth is honored to be part of the healthcare team. “We all have a role to play,” she says. According to Beth, massage therapy can decrease anxiety, improve sleep, boost the immune system, ease post-operative discomfort and provide preventative care.
A board certified and licensed massage therapist, Beth has been appointed to the Michigan State Board of Massage Therapy. She graduated from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy in 2006. Since then, she has become certified in manual lymphatic drainage, complete decongestive therapy, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy 1-4, sports and orthopedic massage, Reiki 2nd degree, pediatric massage and CranioSacral therapy. Her oncology massage training was completed through the Beaumont Hospital System. Beth continues to pursue advanced education in an effort to provide the most progressive care.
“The beauty of my job is that I have the privilege of working with people from all walks of life. I love customizing sessions for my patients for the best possible results. After a session with me, my patients usually feel relaxed with less tension in their body. My hope is that they also feel nurtured and empowered. It is possible to feel good while going through the healing process. That’s a good thing!” ~Beth
