Body Plastic Surgery Procedures

Body contouring can help you achieve a proportionate, firm body, through safe and effective, state-of-the-art techniques tailored to your individual body characteristics and goals.

Liposuction

Liposuction (lipoplasty) slims and reshapes the body by removing excess fat deposits, most commonly from the thighs, hips, arms, abdomen, back, knee, and neck. The result is a more shapely, more proportional and firmed body contour.

Although you may exercise regularly and be physically fit, localized fat deposits may remain, which can be due to genetic inheritance rather than to weight. Liposuction may be performed in combination with a variety of other procedures, including facelift, neck lift, tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), or breast reduction, among others.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

A flat, well-toned abdomen is something that many of us strive to attain through exercise and weight control. Sometimes these methods are not enough to achieve our goals. Even individuals with normal body weight can have an abdomen that bulges or is loose and sagging. The most common causes of this are pregnancy, aging, changes in weight, genetics, and previous surgery.

Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

An arm lift, or brachioplasty, removes excess skin and fat in the area between the underarm and the elbow. The arm is reshaped, resulting in smoother skin and contours and a more toned, proportionate appearance.

Thigh Lift

A thigh lift reshapes the thighs by removing excess skin and soft tissue, resulting in smoother skin and contours of the thighs and lower body.

Body Lift

A body lift removes excess skin, fat, and soft tissue from the abdomen, flanks, and back. This is commonly performed in patients who have lost a great deal of weight, but are plagued with loss of skin elasticity.

Breast Lift

A breast lift, or mastopexy, elevates breast tissue on the chest wall, revealing a more firm, rounded, youthful breast. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, aging, and changes in weight contribute to drooping of breast tissue over time. Stretched areolas (the pigmented area surrounding the nipple) can be resized during a mastopexy as well. Depending on the results of your breast exam and your ultimate goals, a breast augmentation may be recommended in addition to your breast lift.

Neck Lift

A “neck lift” is a procedure that improves the contour of the upper neck. It helps to define the chin-neck angle, providing a more definite distinction between the two.

Body Contouring After Massive Weight Loss

After losing a large amount of weight, you may notice that your skin and soft tissues have trouble “snapping back” to the shape they used to be. Carrying an excessive amount of weight can lead to stretching of the skin, soft tissues and fat, causing a loss of elasticity and “deflation” of the tissues. A combination of procedures can be performed to contour your old skin to your new body.

A Mommy Makeover is a personalized combination of procedures that is designed to reverse changes to your body caused by pregnancy.
