Pixel Resurfacing

Smiling model with short hair and hazel eyesPixel™ is a fractional, non-ablative laser that can dramatically improve the skin’s appearance with little downtime and minimal discomfort. Pixel™ resurfacing is ideally suited for the treatment of fine lines, resistant pigmentation, acne scars, rough skin texture and enlarged pores.

Compared to traditional resurfacing lasers that target the entire surface of the skin, fractional devices, like the Pixel™, only target small areas of the skin. During the treatment, small microscopic wounds are created beneath the skin’s outermost layers to trigger the body’s own natural production of collagen and repair damaged skin cells. This results in tighter, smoother, clearer skin with each laser pass. The idea behind this technology is that if only a fraction of the entire skin surface is hit with the laser then the healing time will be much faster and the downtime is greatly reduced. The normal skin surrounding these laser hot spots will in essence allow for more effective tissue healing and production of collagen. Pixel™ is a proven, safe approach to repairing aging and damaged skin with minimal downtime, side effects, and lengthy recovery periods.

Most patients see a significant improvement in the appearance of their skin after their first Pixel™ treatment. Depending upon the condition of your skin and the location of the treatment, the average patient requires 2-5 treatment sessions, scheduled every 2-3 months for best results. Plan on about 3-6 days of “downtime” with each treatment. Pixel™ resurfacing can be used to treat the face, neck, chest and hands.
